GIFTS for GRANDCHILDREN

IMG_3542.jpeg

Last Fall, a good friend of mine from high school bought a field knife from me. This year, he asked me to make similar knives for each of his 4 grandchildren (3 boys-all left-handed and 1 granddaughter). The handle materials were picked out special for each grandchild’s knife. The blades were forged from W2 with great quench lines, the guards are stainless steel with black/white spacers. Handles are Buckeye burl x 2; Poplar burl and Honduran Rosewood. I hope they are enjoyed and used for many years and passed on to future generations. This was a special and enjoyable project for me on several levels.
